My long Saturday…

Author: adber | Files under General, Outing

I know I have not been posting but better late than never right? :P Anyway last Saturday was a long day for me. I left my house at 12:15pm and was on my way to City Hall MRT station to meet Colby (My FFXI friend), 2 other friends (Fan & Hazel) and Hazel’s baby Dawn. Colby came from Canada and he was going back on Monday so we decided to bring him out for a good meal. Once we gathered, we proceed to walk to Esplanade for our lunch.

Our lunch was at Jang Shou Korean Charcoal BBQ. I came to know about this restaurant from my colleague when I mentioned to her that I want to try some authentic Korean B.B.Q. cuisine. Upon entering, I immediately felt that the air con was weak and it was not due to the B.B.Q because the restaurant was only 1/4 full and not everyone were having B.B.Q. Below are some photos I took but I have to apologize for the lack of photos because I only remembered to take them whenever Hazel took out her camera! Haha

Alot of side dishes, some were pretty delicious especially the kimchi but there are some that I do not enjoy having (eg: eggplant and bitter lettuce). Oh yes, the side dishes are refillable. ^_^

The meat (We had pork and beef)!! Hazel find that certain part of the pork was too salty but I love my meat too much that I didn’t bother haha. Yum yum..

The total bill for this meal came to $170+. A tad expensive but the overall experience wasn’t too bad. After lunch, we walked over to Funan Centre because Colby wanted to exchange some currency and Hazel wanted to buy some computer accessories. We shopped until around 5pm and Fan was craving for some Ramen at Liang Court. He is good at psycho-ing people when it comes to food I tell you! Haha…

When we reached Liang Court, we decided to have some ice-cream as the weather was hot and we were craving for some cold dessert. Sorry no photos of ice-cream as I forgot to take them. Anyway shortly after our dessert, we went straight to Tampopo Japanese Restaurant.

Fan recommended the Black Pig Shabu Shabu Ramen and Black Pig Kyushu Ramen strongly. Die die must try wor, so I had to try it. I must say the ramen was great. Springy noodles, yummy Cha Siu Pork, stewed egg and delicious soup base!!

Fan ordered extra Cha Siu Pork!

I enjoyed my dinner there as the food was great and the price was reasonable. I highly recommended others to go try their ramen. We finished our dinner at 7pm and I had to rush to the pingster gathering!

This was my first ping outing and it was to go to Sin Ming Avenue for Prawn Fishing. I was late but luckily no one complained, heng ar! I was tired already so I did not take any photos. However if you want to see some photos and more details, you can visit Claudia’s blog for them. The pingsters that came that day were Arzhou, Daphne, Kris, KKNN, Wendy, Keith, Chaosdingo, Claudia, Claudia’s abang, Shotgun and Berlin and her hubby. Ok end of post!

*Why I never talked much about the outing? Well first you can read them in the other blogs and second I caught nothing!! None, Nil, Null, Cipher, Zilch, Kosong, Zero, Ling Dang, 0!!!! Despite the zero catch rate, I’m glad that I went for the outing and met the other pingsters. Thanks to Kris.
