Not long ago , I happened to come across an article about PETA ( People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals). And how celebrities would strip naked as an action to promote it.
Then it got me thinking, how would a person being naked help to show support in treating an animal right? Are the animals being stripped naked when they are abused? I mean that can’t be possible right? Because animals are always covered in fur. Or does the abuser say, “You know what? I am going to cut out all your fur before i abuse you. Your fur doesn’t suit you right now. It’s just so not in fashion.”
That said, I understand being naked to go against the wearing of fur. That would be a more appropriate thing to do. But then i came across other PETA ads where celebrities would go naked and saying they are vegetarian. So what gives?
Imagine the next time you step into a vegetarian restaurant and everyone inside is naked? You will get to see more ‘meat’ than vegetables. (I wouldn’t mind visiting that restaurant though if Anna Hathaway is there :p)
Does those celebrities felt that PETA ad is like a justified way to appear naked infront of public. It is like their way of saying , “I want to be photograph naked but i don’t want to be in a Playboy magazine.”
So how should a PETA ad be like? How about a poster showing the abused animal and the other poster showing the abused abuser. That will strike fear in any abuser’s mind. It’s better then making them horny with the current ads.
