A hybrid car is powered by conventional fuel as well as uses electric energy. Hybrid cars have lower fuel consumption and are more environmentally friendly as they derive their power from two engines: Gasoline and Electric engine.
Currently there are 2 types of hybrid cars in the market. The first type is called the Series. It works by using the gasoline engine to start up the car and then the electric engine will take over automatically.
The second type is called the Parallels. It has the same physical configuration of the series hybrid however the operation is quite different. Both the electric engine and the gasoline engine can be used to start and stop the car. This type would be more suitable for long-distance traveling.
So does a hybrid car uses hydrogen gas like what that person was saying in the comic? Well, the answer is No. The gasoline that i mentioned above is the petrol fuel that we are using currently for our cars. But there is certainly such a thing call hydrogen car.
A hydrogen car uses hydrogen in a similar fashion as an aircraft. I do not really know how combustible this car would be. However it would be too technical to explain to everyone how it works. You may want to visit here to know more about it.
Rising price of oil is inevitable so to prevent further inflation, it would be best that we look for other ways or source to cut down on the reliance of oil. The automobile industry is one of the best place to tackle this current situation. Moreover it would be more environmental friendly too.
So any car users going to upgrade theirs to an hybrid one soon?
